Journal 17

This week, all I can say is that I am looking forward to next week's event in school which is the E-thon. This event is a method to raise funds for the school to make improvements such as extending the "pusat sumber" and also building showers for both males and females. Funds are also needed for events for our beloved teachers. Even so, my parents are only willing to contribute RM50 to both me and my form2 sister. I guess the school's developments are not of their concern. They have bigger issues to worry about and i fully understand. Plus, I do not have the time to go door by door asking for donations because I am rather busy with my co-curricular activities, tuition and homework. I mean I cant be at two places at the same time right? 
I hope that the school does not blame me for not contributing much because not everyone has the ability to do so. 

Journal 16

The holidays have passed, its time for what I have been afraid of, my mid term examinations results. I admit that this term I slack of quite a little so I was expecting for the worst. I was pretty upset about my physics. I was so embarrassed to tell my tuition teacher about it so i kind of lied... If I had told him i got a B for physics he would have just thought I was some failure. At lease that thought me a lesson to focus on my exams more from now on. Hopefully, I can get my head together to focus for my upcoming trials. This goes to show as hard work is needed in order to succeed. 

Despite my horrible results, one thing that made my life in school bearable is my dear friends. I missed spending time with them so much during the holidays. Even though we did go for outings but everyday in school is also a great way to be with them. I love my friends so much and I am truly greatful to be a part of an awesome group of friends know as The Sters. =D

 

Journal 15

Its the second week of the holidays! Suddenly, I find myself worrying about my results for the mid term examinations. I cross my fingers and hope for the best. This week was rather disappointing because I was not able to attend Jia Yin's surprise birthday party. After all my efforts in pleading my mom to allow me to go, I still failed. Tough luck. 

At least I manage to hang out with Sze Yuin and Pei Ming on Friday. We watched the movie "Snow White and The Huntsman" together in the cinemas. The leading man, the huntsman being played by Chris Hemsworth was such a hunk! Me and Sze Yuin cant help but giggle whenever he was present in the movie. I hope we were not disturbing the other viewers there. Hehe. 

The sad thing is soon I will be back in school and no more play time for me until after my SPM. At least it lasted while it can.

May week 5

Finally the holidays are here ! After three weeks of studying and hard work, the mid term examinations are over. I have to admit the tests were pretty tough. This means that I have to really step it up if i want to score for my SPM. Even so, I decided to enjoy myself during the holidays because this is my last chance to relax before heading for the major examinations like my trials and SPM. 

On Thursday, me and my group of friends went to One Utama to hang out right after our physics tuition. We ate in this new Italian restaurant called "Petite Millie". The food there is rather pricy and the portion was not enough to feed a person. I was quite unsatisfied because i was still hungry after the meal which I have to admit was delicious. After that, we went shopping for presents feeling hungry. We soon decided to feasts again at "delicious". This time, the portion was sufficiently big to feed our empty tummies. We had fun chatting and laughing. What a way to start of my holidays. A night with the girls!

April Week 3


How "lucky" of me to be chosen twice by you, Puan Monica not only during the "Cabutan Bertuah for Nilam" but also for the oral test. I was so unprepared for the test that my mind was empty when it was my turn to give my opinion on the given situation. How embarrassing !!!! Also, poor me fell sick. I fell really ill this week because I had to go through the horrendous rain on Monday when I was returning to school for co-curricular activities after lunch. Because of that, I suffered from not only a bad cold but fever as well. I was faced down on my table in school almost the whole of Tuesday because I felt so ill. I did not even manage to come to school the following day. How dreadful is that !! Luckily I am feeling better after a day of rest.

April week 2


What a week ! With so much drama going on about Puan Wong leaving our class, plus tons of things to do to help our class raise funds for the school's yearbook. On Monday, Puan Ng came in our class for Mathematics instead of our beloved Puan Wong. Not to sound bias towards Puan Wong but it is a known fact that Puan Wong shares a relationship with our class that can not be explained in words especially to certain students. I myself enjoy lessons with her around and I know that she enjoys too. Having someone replacing her is somehow unimaginable to me at first. But when she came in that day I gave her a fair chance of being our new Math teacher. But somehow it did not work out for most of us. Many were giving Puan Ng the cold shoulder and she herself knows it. As soon as she realises that, she promised to give our Puan Wong back to us as soon as the lesson was over. I felt a little sad for her because she did nothing to deserve this kind of treatment but I honestly still prefer Puan Wong. Anyway, we got back Puan Wong as promised. I wish everything will go back to the way it was before.

Journal 11

April Week 1


It was so unexpected when my besties threw me this surprise party when my birthday is four weeks away. I was surprised when I realised that it was not going to be one of those normal days where we used to hang out in the mall. Instead, my trusted friend, Jia Yin lied to me saying that she could not make it because her mom was busy. And I actually believed her !! And Sze Yuin said that she had to come later because of some reasons. So, only me and Pei Ming were there at about 1 p.m. I was going on and on about how upset I was that Jia Yin could not make it. For some reasons I did not even realise that Pei Ming did not cared much about the fact that Jia Yin was not there. Now I know why. They have all planned their little "scheme" to surprise me.


So, as we went on with our usual plans for the day, which is karaoke-ing at Neway, One Utama things seemed even more strange as we got to go straight up to the karaoke rooms without even speaking to the receptionist. Maybe I was just blur as I still did not smell anything fishy that was going on. Moving on, as me and Pei Ming settled down in the karaoke room, there were popping sounds of balloons coming from the toilet !! I was so frightened ( I thought the place was haunted) so I just sat there not wanting to find out what that was. Pei Ming went on and opened the door and out came the two liars, Jia Yin and Sze Yuin. Then I knew that it was a surprise. After opening my presents, which is a gorgeous Bershka dress and a Diva ring, we went on and have fun singing to all our favourite songs. Then suddenly Jia Yin had to leave early ( she usually leaves early anyway so I did not suspect anything ) But I have thought wrong ! She went and pick up my birthday cake from Baskin Robins. The funny part is that we offered half of the cake to the staff's there acting all generous but in actual fact we just could not finish the ice-cream cake ourselves. 


That day was really a day to remember and I will definitely remember them always. It is so nice to have friends like these right?

March week 4


Last week was a rather dull one. School was the norm, insipid and monotonous with lessons and homework. Of course there were tuitions to attend as well, which makes me thoroughly lethargic by the time I am home. Well, I suppose this is a typical day in the life of an average teenager.

On Friday, my friends and I were supposed to watch 'The Vow' but unfortunately, I could not make it. On Saturday, however, I headed off to One Utama in sheer merriment and ebullience to watch the much-anticipated movie, The Hunger Games! I have been dying to watch this movie ever since it came to my knowledge, for I find the storyline extremely compelling and adrenaline-rushing. Much to my melancholy, I was short of luck that day for the tickets were entirely sold out. Well, that news was not shocking in the least bit for it is undoubtedly acknowledged that the 'Hunger Games' books received extremely high sales and naturally, people would expect this movie to be phenomenal. Nevertheless, I still want to watch this movie and hopefully, the theaters will no longer be fully booked once the hype dwindles.

March week 4


So school is back and the results of the first term tests are out. Honestly my grades were a little disappointing I have to say. I thought I can do better than that. Although I did not put in my best efforts this term I still hoped for good grades. Guess I really deserve it. The only results that I am satisfied with is my physics which scored an A+ when I was expecting an A-. least now that I have woken from my slumber, at least I think I have, I can really throw in all my extra time to work hard on the upcoming mid-term examinations. Somehow my friends are starting to stress about applying for scholarship mainly the Asean scholarship. It is kind of scary for me to even think of leaving home and going to Singapore to further my studies but of course this is for the benefit of me. I am still considering whether to apply for the scholarship or not because for now I am still reluctant to go for this opportunity. Should I ?

March week 2


Finally! The holidays are here. On Monday, I went to Neway, One Utama to karaoke with my family for the first time. I usually karaoke with my friends. It was so fun. I got to sing all my favourite songs with my family. The best part is that everyone was willing to sing even though we don't sound good. I just like singing a lot. It has been my hobby since young to sing. Anyway, I was too tired to attend my tuition class that day so i skipped it feeling guilty. At least I managed to attend my other classes for the week. As usual, I left all my homework to the last minute. Here I am rushing to do all my homework that my teachers have left me with for the holidays. I hope sooner or later I will break this bad habit

March week 2


Here I go. Its the first term so called small test. It does not seem small to me at all because all the questions were pretty tough. I canceled all my plans for the week and focused on my studies. At first I thought it was not too hard but then after the biology paper, i lost all my mood for the rest of the papers. For the whole week i fear of failing my biology paper. How sad indeed. I even realised some silly mistakes made on my mathematics paper. I guess the lesson learnt is to check my answers more than twice during examinations. All I know is after the last paper on Friday I felt so happy that the test was over and that I get to enjoy a whole week of school-free days! YAY ! 


That Sunday, I went to The Pavillion with my friends Jia Yin, Pei Ming and Sze Yuin. We watched the movie titled "This Means War" Starring the most gorgeous guy ever, Chris Pine !!!!!! We tried on prom dresses too. My friends even got me to try on this royal blue prom dress at BCBGMaxazria. The dress was really nice but costly too.

Feb week 5/March week 1

The time has come. The results of the English Drama Competition 2012 were announced on Monday. Even with doubts of winning because of some errors with the music, we managed to rise to victory. As soon as we were announced as champion, I cheered as loud as I can for my beloved class. It felt good when we were finally rewarded for all our efforts. Just when I thought everybody would be happy, a problem came up. Because of everyone’s commitment in our drama, many are not satisfied with the award distribution when they were not chosen as one of the fifteen to receive the prize. The once peaceful class I know was no longer peaceful with all the hatred and dissatisfaction going on. I just hope one day they will realize that the feeling of victory is much more important than some prize.

Besides that, the first term’s test is in a week. I panicked on Wednesday realizing that I only have a few days to revise. I managed to find some time for my revision by either studying in school or studying during my nap time. I just hope it is enough for me to score good results.

Journal 5 (Week 4 Feb)

Feb Week 4

Ever since last year, I have already been excited about the English class drama for Form5. After going through many problems, our drama was over. We started the script early because we thought that the actors and actresses would need lots of practice. Our first meeting was in January at Starbucks. Only 6 people showed up that day namely me, Sze Yuin, Jia Yin, Pei Ming, Esther and Zhi Hao. I was quite disappointed with the fact that not many people showed support at the beginning. In the first meeting, we thought of the plot of the drama and decided to go with the good versus evil theme. On that day, we have decided on the characters and who would be playing the roles. But of course things changed along the way and ended up fine. Weeks have passed until the script was completed. Things even got a little messy because of uncooperative people. Not only that, some even demanded for a main role. Because of that, many new characters were created to satisfy them. I even had a little argument with my dear friend. 

two weeks before the drama competition, Mun Yan, who was supposed to be the actress of Bridgett was busy with her swimming competition so I became Bridgett for awhile because according to my friends, I can act as a bimbo chick. Not that I agree. But overall it was a fun experience and I really enjoyed acting. The next week everyone was practicing really hardly because the competition is only a few days away. They all did really well in playing their parts.

On the day of the competition, I was feeling very nervous for everyone even though I only play the part of supporting Vladimir, the villain. When the drama started, everyone did well as expected except for the prefect from another class who messed up the music. Even though some of the lines were wrong, they managed to form their own sentences with the same meaning. I was really proud of my class that day. We took pictures as a class after our drama. This drama has united our class into one big family. I can feel the unbreakable bond between us that day. This is really something I would remember for life and this is how I want my senior year to be like. I love my class 5 Belian. 

Journal 4 (Week 3 Feb)

Feb Week 3

This week, the exam timetable was out. I am not prepared at all to sit for the upcoming test. I promised myself to start studying next week and I hope that I will keep that promise. In school, I got to act as the character Bridgett in our class drama because Mun Yan was busy with her swimming competitions. It was a fun experience indeed. The most exciting thing of the week was rocking out at Avril Lavigne's live concert, The Black Star Tour at Stadium Merdeka with my friend.  

Me and my friends arrived at Stadium Merdeka at about 5.30p.m. and waited for one and a half hour before entering the stadium. We hurried to the best seats we could find and enjoyed the music by the DJ while waiting for the pop star to show up. It even started raining but we managed to get raincoats so we would not get wet. Not too long after, Avril was on stage performing all my favourite songs . I danced and sang along to all the songs ignoring the rain. Too bad all good things have to come to an end. After the concert, I bought some of her fabulous merchandises there to remember the concert forever. I only got home at about 12.00a.m.. I was still feeling excited when I got to bed. 

Journal 3 (Week 2 Feb)

Feb Week 2


This week, i got to go on a vacation because of the public holidays on Monday and Tuesday. I went to "Pangkor Laut Resort Spa Village" for three days and two nights. On Sunday, I had to wake up at 6.30 a.m. to begin the journey to Perak. After a long drive of 3 hours, we reached the jetty and handed our luggage for the people in charge to bring aboard the journey. We took a speedboat to the beautiful island. The ride took approximately 15 minutes. I somehow wish the ride would take longer because I was really enjoying the breeze.

When i stepped on the island, I could feel that soft feeling of the pure white sands on my soles. It was amazing. I just could not wait to swim in the crystal clear seal waters. We hurried and unpack before having lunch at a poolside restaurant. The meal was very satisfying. I had a dish called spicy meatballs. After that, I hopped into my swimsuit and took a ride to the other side of the island which consist of the finest beach on the island. I really enjoyed myself there. The three days of my vacation I wish would last longer. But unfortunately, my wish never came true. School was back in no time and I had to be serious in my studies once again.

Journal 2 (Week 1 Feb)

Feb Week 1


Just a basic week of school with all my friends. On Monday, me and my friends went to try the food at "Duduk" cafe after school. The food there was not bad at all. They even have brownies which I love. After that we went back to school to attend the chess and scrabble club as usual. I finally got to win a round of chess. After chess club I had to rush to my additional mathematics tuition at "Teliti" tuition centre. I was a hectic day but I still enjoy it otherwise. On Thursday that week, me and my friends went to this new physics tuition together. The lesson helped me a lot but I feel uncomfortable there sometimes because of the unnecessary sick jokes made my the tutor. But overall I think the tuition is helping me in my studies so I will be attending the lesson for the year. I hope after putting up with all these I will manage to get an A+ in my SPM examinations.

Crime At The Polar-Ice Cap

At about 12.15 p.m. Saturday, there was a fight that took place at the polar-ice cap. I was required to follow the Marines from the ship to rescue the victims. As I approached the glacier, there was two tractors moving on an unsafe land. One tailing the other. When the tractor stopped, we heard a gun shot coming from the tractor. A man that got shot was lying on the freezing cold snow which was poured with blood. The man fortunately survived the incident. Not too long after, a man from the vehicle started attacking the person who shot the man and managed to kill him after awhile. Unfortunately, the criminal escaped with a hostage using the tractor but fell into a crevasse. A scientist hurried over and dropped a rope then jumped  down. The hostage was rescued and the criminal was no where to be found. The crevasse was then closed up leaving the criminal inside.

Journal 1 (january)

January 2012

Its a new year ! yeah ! It is senior year for me. But nothing much has changed from last year

because all my classmates are the same. Most of the days of school were filled with piling homework of every subject which causes me a headache. Plus tuition on the side. What a combination. I guess this year is more stressful compared to last year because I will be sitting for SPM at the end of the year. For the moment, I am still not studying much. I prefer to enjoy my senior year before starting to focus on SPM. I am not too sure if that is a good thing though. It might be a little early to think of prom but I can't help but feel excited for the one night that will bring all the seniors together for a memorable time. Furthermore, the school's senior drama competition is coming up. My friend, Sze Yuin was elected as scriptwriter. We all worked together to get it done. But sadly we did not get much response from the rest of the class. I hope they be more enthusiastic about the drama or else it just won't do.

Besides that, Chinese New Year has been a very enjoyable week for me. Besides having my closet filled with new clothes, I got to celebrate it with all my beloved family members. On Chinese New Year eve, I went back to my father's side hometown which is located at Padang Serai, Kedah. I immediately hugged my cousins, uncles and aunts the moment i saw them. I really missed all of them. That same night me and my family had a family gathering with more than 90 relatives. At 12.00a.m. we lit the whole sky with fireworks and firecrackers that sounded like an exploding atom bomb. It was so unimaginable to see them ignite the sky right before my eyes. It was really awesome. The next day, which was the first day of Chinese New Year, we visited my mother's side hometown which is in Penang. We received numerous red packets from our close relatives. I really enjoyed the meals prepared by my grandaunt. Especially her scrumptious yam cake. Yum yum ! After lunch, we went to The Gurney Hotel with both my father and mothers' side of relatives. This year is extra special because my cousins from all over the world have the time to return to Malaysia for the celebrations. They came from Taiwan, Singapore, Australia and even London. We had 3 connecting suites plus 2 basic rooms to fit our family which consist of about 38 members. It was really a party worth remembering. For dinner, we had barbecue using an electric grill in the hotel room. We even covered the fire alarm to prevent the smoke from setting it off. Chinese New Year is really one celebration that i look forward to every year. Unfortunately, the week was gone in the twinkling of an eye.

After Chinese New Year, school is back. Again ! Me and my friends attened a new physics tuition known as Mr. Phang. It was rather heart-pounding as he kept throwing questions us. I only managed to answer a few questions. Me and my lovely friends also finished our add math 3D project which is a barbie doll house. It was very tiring but the result are satisfying. I hope to work with them soon again. Wish for many more great moments in the future.
